ShopkeeperPOS Affiliate Partner Agreement & Policy

1. Introduction and Program Context

Welcome to the ShopkeeperPOS Affiliate Program. ShopkeeperPOS was built to help retail businesses, supermarkets, pharmacies, and boutiques digitize their operations, manage inventory, and track sales seamlessly.

Our Affiliate Program is designed as a true partnership: we want to share our success with individuals who help us reach genuine business owners. Recently, we updated our program structure to shift focus from quantity of registrations to quality of active businesses. This ensures that we can sustainably reward our true partners while protecting the platform from spam, fraud, and artificial signups.

By participating in the ShopkeeperPOS Affiliate Program, you agree to the following terms, conditions, and quality standards.

2. Defining a "Qualified Referral"

To earn a commission, the user you refer must be considered a Qualified Referral. A simple account creation is no longer sufficient to trigger a guaranteed payout. A Qualified Referral must meet ALL of the following criteria:

• Genuine Business Entity: The referred user must be an actual business owner or manager with a real-world use case for a Point of Sale and inventory management system.

• Unique Identity: The user must register with a valid, unique email address and phone number that has never been registered on ShopkeeperPOS.

• Active Onboarding: Within the first 7 days of registration, the referred user must complete their profile and demonstrate genuine platform use. This is defined as:

  • Adding at least five (5) inventory items to their store.
  • Recording at least one (1) real transaction/sale through the POS interface.

• Organic Origin: The account must be created by the user themselves on their own device.

Accounts that are created, verified, and subsequently abandoned (zero login activity after day 1) will be classified as "Dormant" and are not eligible for commission.

3. Commission Structure and Milestones

To reward high-quality traffic, we have transitioned to a milestone-based commission structure. This aligns your earnings with the value brought to the platform.

Tier 1: Active Activation (₦500)

Earned when a referred user signs up, verifies their account, and meets the "Active Onboarding" criteria (adding inventory and recording a sale).

Tier 2: Subscription Bonus (Premium Reward)

Earned when your referred user upgrades from a free trial to any of our paid subscription plans. (Note: You can specify this amount later, e.g., 10% of the subscription fee).

4. The Payout Process and ₦20,000 Threshold

To process payments securely and verify the quality of referrals, all payouts are subject to the following framework:

• The Maturation Period: All earned commissions will sit in a "Pending" state for 14 days. This allows our system time to verify that the referred accounts remain active and are not temporary or bot accounts.

• Minimum Withdrawal Limit: Affiliates must accumulate a minimum of ₦20,000 in "Approved" (cleared) earnings before initiating a withdrawal request.

• The Audit Window: Upon requesting a cashout, your account will enter a 48 to 72-hour manual audit. Our Quality Assurance team will review your referral batch. If a high percentage of your referrals are dormant, fake, or share identical IP addresses, your payout will be paused, and your account will be flagged for review.

5. Zero-Tolerance Fraud & Abuse Policy

ShopkeeperPOS employs strict monitoring to detect fraudulent referrals. Engaging in any of the following activities will result in immediate account termination, a permanent ban, and the forfeiture of all pending and approved commissions:

• Incentivized Signups (Bribing): Offering cash, airtime, giveaways, or other compensations to individuals in exchange for creating a ShopkeeperPOS account. Users must sign up because they want the software, not the bribe.

• Self-Referral & Account Farming: Creating accounts for yourself, using aliases, or creating accounts on behalf of other people using your own device, IP address, or email aliases.

• Spamming: Unsolicited mass emailing, SMS blasting, or spamming unrelated social media groups with your referral link.

• Misleading Marketing: Misrepresenting the features of ShopkeeperPOS or presenting the platform as a "get-rich-quick" scheme or a money-making app to drive clicks.

6. Traffic Quality Monitoring (The 20% Rule)

We continuously monitor the overall health of the traffic you send us.

If we detect that more than 80% of your total referrals are classified as "Dormant" (they sign up but never use the POS features), your affiliate link will be temporarily suspended. You will be required to meet with our partner success team to review your marketing methods before reinstatement.

7. Program Modifications

ShopkeeperPOS reserves the right to modify the commission rates, payout limits, or terms of this agreement at any time. Active affiliates will be notified of any major changes via email 7 days prior to the changes taking effect.
